Angelfish Sick

omg...im so worried now...my angel is lying on its side and cant even swim properly...it got stuck in the filter input...i takne it out and put it in a small 1.5 gall tank for the time being...i also added in some white spot special which the directions said can also be used for parasitic disease...im going to my LFS 2moro to get all the neccessary things...i also realised my angelnow has a small hole in its dorsal fin and its bright black colours have faded...help!!! thanks alot!!!

if you're sure it's velvet then it doesn't sound good, it attacks rapidly and must be treated immediatley. you may have to take the decision to euthanaise the fish.

you need to treat with the strongest white spot med you can find, raise the temp, increase aeration and keep the tank in total darkness. treatment can take a couple of weeks, need to treat the whole tank as part of the lifecycle of the disease is where it drops off the fish and lives in the gravel so the whole tank needs to be treated

thank you very much...but the angel is dead..i feel like giving up on fish keeping..over the years, i lost more than 50 fishes while trying to save them though i follow intructions closely and my tank is cycled...i jus cried a ton...i mean..no matter how hard i try, no matter how much efort i put in...my fishe jus seem to be dying off 1 by 1...im giving up...im just gonna do my best to take care of my remaining fishes and wen they die..im really not gonna take up fish keeping anymore...my father agrees with me..though he said i did my best...fishkeeping is smething i love since i was a child and i really wanna keep on rearing fishes but i guess fishes aren't my type of pets...call me sissy or watever for crying and saying things like that but..watever

Sorry about all your fish losses I've been there, and it does get you down.
The best thing is a quarantine tank when you buy new fish you issolate them for up to
4 to 6 weeks this way you are not transferring deseases into the main tank.
