here theres 4 angelfish at a local shop ive been interested in, they are very mature but they seem to be all females since their breeding tobes seem to be somewhat large, and not pin-like from a male.. any confirmations real quick please?

All of them look like female to me.... You don't want a sweetie ?

(sadly it is the female who does all the killing; so maybe they aren't so sweet).

They do look girly, but I've been wrong several times before lol.

We were given 2 adult angels by someone moving. Both were female & laid eggs together. We got what we hoped was a young male & he was! He flirted & shimmied but the females were set in their ways. He was gently shooed away.

Another time we had 6 aldult-ish angels. 2 eventually paired up & took up 2/3 of a 75g. They laid fertile eggs & then carefully spit the free- swimming fry into the high filter intake, EEK! Maybe they were too inexperienced or were "protecting" them.

The "usual way" to get a pair is to get 6 or 7 younger fish & allow them to choose. Then move or rehome the "extras". I wouldn't get older adults & hope for another outcome. Raising angel fry is both fun & distressing. Some will not turn out well & then you have to cull (euthanize) any deformed 1s (there will be some). So think about what happens after you might get fry...Another tank to raise fry after the parents are ready to breed again? They can breed ~every 30 days...

Almost impossible to tell the sex of Angelfish no matter what the "experts" say. When their breeding tubes come down you can get a pretty good idea but the only sure way is to have them spawn and get the eggs to hatch. It is not uncommon for two females to spawn together. If they spawn in a tank with other fish it is very likely that you will lose all the babies. When a pair spawns it is best to remove the eggs and raise them yourself. Either that or put the pair in their own tank, a 29 gallon is a good size. They will spawn about every 10 days so you will be overrun with fry in no time.

FIRST if you look at the video you will see the breeding tube and that was in fact the question for this thread if you agreed based off of the breeding tube that they are females.

SECOND if you breed angelfishes (and i have done so) the male and females will produce certain predictable attributes that make it easier to pick them out - HOWEVER if you are given a random angelfish with random genes then yes it is much more difficult to nearly impossible.
