Angelfish Q

Just wondering could you keep another single angelfish with a pair if they grew up together? Like if i bought 6 juvis and kept 2 that paired up and then one extra?
Tank is 300 liters and they would be the biggest fish in it

No. The pair would almost definitely bully the single one to death.

best not then!! i did wonder about that but then ive read a few peoples stocklists on the net and they have 3 angelfish, guess they must be all one sex or something

It may well rock the boat, if you have already got a paired formed?,i would not risk it, maybe if tank was double the size, but angels can pick on one, if you went the other way and had a bigger group it could be ok, but again, bigger tank needed.,
Three in this case, is not the magic number, Thats my Oppinion :good:

I had three. They'd grown up together. Then 2 formed a pair. And I thought "nooo they'll be fine". And then one day the third was no more :-(

A group of angels is different - the agression of the pair is spread out over many other angels. And other pairs give as good as they get. But when it's all focused on a single fish... :no:
