Angelfish And Neons?

I've had Neons and Angels together before and they've been fine sometimes, and sometimes they were eaten. I guess it just depends on the size of the fish in relation to each other

what about angels with cardinal tetras as they are very similar in appearance to the neons but are that bit bigger. would the angels eat them as i am also considering putting the two typesof fish together in a 350l tank

i have 80 assorted tetras including neons with 5 large angels and have had no problems.

there is no acctual right or wrong answer to your question, it's just a debate. i have a breeding pair of angels with 7 neons, hopefully adding to the shoal soon, and i have no problems now. at first, the angels did try and eat the neons but after a few days of unsuccessful attempts, the angels did give up.
the "angel attack" is a great sight to see though no matter how cruel people think it is. slowly stalking and swimming up right as normal and then they start leaning to one side until they're more or less horizontal and then they go from 0-60 in half a second though it seems lol
the fact is, angel fish these days have been bred in captivity over and over again until it's beyond beleif and this has basically taken away any natural instinct the poor fish's ancestors used to have. don't get me wrong, they most probably will try and attack but most of the attempts are failures.
also, the earlier you combine the two the better :good:
