Ammonia Readings Totally Screwed!

Hi

Ive been treating my tank with octozin for hole in the head for the last 4 days. I have kept an eye on my ammonia and it shot up to 0.25mg/l the first day so I added prime now i cant get a decent reading its rapidly increased in 4 days to 2.0mg/l.

I added more prime but its sticking there at 2.0mg/l wich is grass green on my API test! do I do a water change and run the risk of lowering the meds? or keep adding prime till I hit my 8th day with octozin? the fish all seem ok apart from one little cat fish i lost today for no reason?

Meds can knock water stats.
Keep going with the med.
If you have to preform a water change just add the correct amount of med back to the water removed.
