If you are measuring 2 ppm now, you were probably somewhere around 6 ppm before the water change. That is not high enough to have caused the bacteria any serious damage. As someone already suggested, add ammonia only when the test results tell you it is time to add some. There is no simple amount that would be appropriate to just add each day because the ammonia processing changes as the bacterial colony matures.
