Bored into leaving
I am still not a huge fan of reefs but I can tolerate SPS far easier than softies. This tank is to hold the nicer fish the mrs wants, and it is quite nice to have some visible fish in the tank for once.So assume with all that lighting your gonna do a reef then huh andy? I thought i remember at one pt you saying that you would never go beyond fowlr with your preds... but maybe im mistaken.... and holy crap, that wave machine must be massivly powerful to push the water around like that. if you dont mind me asking... how many clams it set you back?
Once this is out of the way I will have at least one, possibly two smaller tanks for interesting preds.
And besides, I still have a moray in the tank, so it has an element of preds (no doubt someone will try and flame me for having an eel in a reef).
The wavebox was a shade over £300 from First Stop Aquatics. Not bad since it can provide the main water movement for anything up to 300-350 US gallons. It actually only uses around 30W on average while in its active mode, so doesn't cane the electricity bill.
