Amano's

Hi, I have 3 Amano Shrimp in a 60 Litre Community.

One of them has like a green sort of ball thing under its skin behind the head area. What is this? Is it eggs or like part of their colouring?

Only just noticed it, any help would be smashing.

They'll be eggs, if they're Amano shrimps the young wont survive as they must be reared in salt water.

Thats fine, im not after babies. I was just wondering what they were. They are like an olive green? And i expected them to be underneath the middle rather than above.

Any chance of a picture? it could actually be food going through their digestive systems.

It's not eggs, eggs are carried on the undercarriage of amanos.

It will be food, if they are mainly eating plants/moss, it will be a greenish coloring, nothing to worry about.

They will be grazing on algae, and there are plants in the tank. They also like to have a good on dark green algae disks.

They should shed their shells once a month, when they have a good diet. So don't freak if you see the shell x
