Amano Shrimp

I read somewhere that Amano shrimp like to eat Java Moss. Is this true? I hope not, cause I have some Java Moss and I also have an Amano shrimp on order. Anybody know? Any other disadvantages to having an Amano Shrimp?

I have 4 of them in two separate tanks and they don't seem to have eaten any of it so far. They have done an amazing job keeping my sand very clean. Credit also goes to the 1 snail i have in one of the tanks with them. But prior to buying them my sand had hair algae on it and as soon as i got them into the tank the sand became good as new. I feed them shrimp pellets and algae wafers every other day during the night with my LED lunar lights on and its amazing to watch them eat.

pref. you would need atleast 2-4 together, they will be more social and less shy then.

They are great at shifting through sand, nibbling on brown algae but they will nibble on the majority of plants. If your java moss is tiny, then you may well see it eventually disappear but if not, no worries.
