Amano question

I recently bought 3 amano shrimp for my tank, and today I noticed my tank was really dirty, with little black stuff ebverwhere (looks like poop) I always thought shrimp were supposed to be cleaner critters. Any ideas? I need to do a water change tomorrow.

Hm, we've got so much mulm in all our shrimp tanks, can't tell if there is any shrimp poops around. Are you sure it was the shrimp and not the snails?

BTW, that is a major cute puppy in your avatar--what kind of dog? Aw, jez, now I've got a puppy jones starting up....

I don't have any snails in my tank.

As for the puppy, it is a Shiba Inu pup. They are great dogs.
