Am I a boy or a girl?

Hi All
I wonder whether these are a big enough to establish whether they are male of female?
Gold severum and rotkeil severum
Would appreciate help
No difference to me
I love them either way, I just would like to know

I might as well ask them what they identify as? Although I am afraid that the gold severum would identify as a vacuum cleaner since it hovers absolutely any food that goes in a split second!

LOL! My first thought as to the title was... "If you don't know just look down"...

BTW, I don't know the actual answer as I'm not good at sexing fish unless obvious like guppies.

I don't want to sound judgmental, but fish #1 is not well shaped for its species, and is far too young to sex. Fish #2, the gold mutant, is also young. Right now it looks female, but a young male will also have that finnage. You'll have to be patient.

I agree with @GaryE . Severum can be hard to tell apart but a trained eye can pick them out once they’re fully grown . Severum are nice cichlids .

Fish #2, the gold mutant, is also young.

It has huge eyes. It’s not nearly as young as it looks. Just grown very slowly through lack of food. Normally it would be about twice it’s size. I’ll say probably Male because of the vermiculations on the face?
