HI, here's a quick vid of my fry chomping on some grated bloodworm (yeah I used a parmazan grater), wee treat for them, I'm using my phone so I apologise for the poor quality, the fry are colouring up a bit but it doesn't show so good here
Anyways, hope you enjoy
Looks like they go as bonkers for bloodworm as the Filament Glassfish!
Would it be fair to say that Sumbu pretty much stay close to the rocks and sand? I'm presuming they do for now and trying to come up with a possible tankmate that could use the upper levels of the 620T, to go with Sumbu and my little Tang catfish. Cyprochromis and other Tanganyikan open water fish are out of the question from what I know at the mo, as the 62x39cm footprint is way too small for them, so I'm trying to come up with random ideas for fish from other parts of the world that might suit...
African Butterfly Fish? I've just brought my current one inside today into the 620T, moved "Mr Stumpy" into Rio240 and left ABF with Tang catfish and the new Barilius hukaungensis.
A goodeid species? Generally speaking, they do like hard alkaline water, which my tap water is (gH 14, pH 8.2) without even adding an alkaline substrate or rockwork.
A smaller Rainbowfish species? Again they love the water type I have, but I suspect ones that are a suitable size for the tank like Pseudomugil furcata will have a stressful time with the Tangs.
I had a small shoal of Dwarf Neon Rainbow in with the Sumbu adults, nice set up, funny thing though the 2 Multifasciatus would chase the rainbows away if they went to near the shells, in the fry tank thogh they are all over the place, in between roscks, up and over them , you see them in the open water column also, going to miss them when they are moved on
