Just wanted to share some pictures of my naturally occuring almost rili cherry shrimp.

The colour rili refers to the pattern that a rili cherry shrimp will have (rili is now also developed in orange and yellow cherry shrimp) a coloured head and tail while the midsection will be clear.

First of all a young shrimp not mature (the one to the left)

And now an adult female ready to breed

The rilis you have are absolutely beautiful. I think some of mine are rilis they are small not real big at all. But they do show that mottled pattern.

If you like them now just imagine when they are full rili and not just this half way point. I have seen some truely stunning rili's available overseas with deep red heads and tails and then the clear center is really shown off to its best. I really should seperate out these almost rilis and selectively breed them to get complete/ full rili's....just wish I had room to have so many breeding projects on the go for so many colour morphs of shrimp  .

Well I was mucking about with my tanks lastnight and discovered this little beauty....the best Rili (almost rili) I have found in my tanks so far

I've ordered some red rili shrimp myself, waiting on delivery. They are bred from red cherries so technically if you do selective breeding you'll get some more yourself.
