I'm sure you know this but since nobody has pointed it out, the flake food that comes with it isn't suitable for a betta to eat. It's plant based and probably full of alfalfa and flour and other fillers. Stick with a good quality betta pellet and you'll be rewarded with a happier and more active and colourful betta.

Looks like a nice tank, I can't believe they say you can fit four goldfish in it though! Ugh... some people.

yep chuck the gold fish food, what do u feed ur buddy by the way? i use attisons betta pro, and i have heard good stuff about hirkui gold, blaa dont mind my spellin, its 3 am and i just got home from downtown, fun nite but i am tired as dodo!!!

bloodworms are a good treat, but they have a ton of proteen , feed to much some times they can cause constipation and belly trobles, i feed blood worms bout 1x a week just 5 little wormes, they pelets bout 6 a day for the res of the week, oh and all my fish get no food sundays, helps their digestion to skip a day. try getin some betta pelets but but as ur buddy is very spoilt he might not want to try them right off and could refuse them for a while, dont worry bettas can go a week wit5h no food easy

, pluss the betta pelets have some vitimins and minerals that the blood worms dont so pelets are usualy a better staple food, with the blood worms as a treat

oh also i give them a bout a 4th pf a cooked, then cooled and deshelled pea 1x a months, the veggi helps with the poopin.
