I have some wood in my tank, think it is bogwood. It came free with a tank passed onto me that had been in storage for ages. So it had been used in the tank previously.

Just oday I noticed that there is some green fuzziness on the wood, a slight covering and as new to tanks, should I be worried? Scrub the wood or allow to keep going?

The tank is a 14g with 4 dwarf puffers, except for two moss balls added last friday, there are no other live plants in the tank. Any help appreciated

Algae, as you describe it, will not be harmful at all to your fish. If anything it is a common inhabitant in natural situations. Most aquarists are concerned about algae taking over their tank and making it unsightly, that is why it is a major topic. The main factors controlling algae are light and trace ammonia.
