Algae Help!

ok - algae sprouted - i have got rid of my sailsfins and noticed it shortly after....
sso i bought 2 mini plecs... freaky little things which apprarntly shouldnt grow more than 2 or so inches

the algae is on 3 of my rocks (green) and some brown on the side of my tank...

i can move the rocks out of my tank but how do i get rid of the brown one on the side???!

help!

What species are these "mini-plecs"?

Is the algea slimy or hairy or spotty in appreance for both the green and brown?

how long are the lights on for? and what is your lighting in watts? and are they T5s or T8s?

dont know about the plecs - they are weird little creatures.... on discount for the other plecs i traded in lol

the lights are on for about 6+ hours a day no more than 9 ever.....

never had algaeproblem before btu im guessing my other plecs did a good job *miss them now* *sob* lol

i have no idea the wats on the lights they were there when i got the tank.......

Can you post a pic of these "Mini Plecs" for ID please. I suspect the LFS saw you comming, as no plec commonly available in the trade at a reasonable price will stop growing at 2" unless the stunt due to lack of space
