What kind of fish is it? I bought an "albino algae eater" from my local pet store today. That is all they had it named as. What species does it fall under?

Albino algae eater will be a golden chinese algae eater aka golden sucking loach, CAE are bad news andcan atack other fish as they get biger.

could also be an albino common plec, or albino morph of chinese algae eater - does he look like the fish in your picture ?

It is the albino form of the siamese algae eater. Useful when young, but they get agressive and even slime picking on certain species when mature.
siamese are only aggressive to each other chinese are the worst

If it's a siamese then you've got no problems as they're great algae eaters and don't turn agressive.
If it's a chinese then keep an eye on it as their agressiveness depends a lot on the fish. I have 2 and while the big one does bully the small one they don't physically attack each other, they just keep to their terrtories. I have them with platy and the platies are the ones that bully them. The only time i've seen them move towards a platy is when the platies eat their algae wafers, but it's never actually touched them.
what kind of fish do you have?
Chinese algae eaters are NOT good with goldfish and other large, flat bodied, slow moving fish like angels. Watch out with long fins too

could it be an albino bristlenose.... these are very common and sold as algae eaters. ive never seen an albino SAE or CAE
