Aldi Tank

Hi All

I hope you can see this in the picture. It's a new tank, the one Aldi currently have on offer, and there are spots about finger print size were the water is condensing strangely. I've only part filled it because I saw these spots. Does anyone know what might have caused them? Is it just oily fingerprints and nothing to worry about? I've tried wiping them off but it has no effect.

If you have filled the tank with cold water you get a lot of condensation. It's nothing to worry about.

You could try some alcohol on it.. they could even be silicone fingerprints potentially.

It's more a case of why it's condensed strangely in those 2 spots.

It could of just condensed in those places if you have touched those places and left fingerprints.

Thanks, I've topped the tank full of water now and the sole fish in there, a pregnant swordtail, doesn't seem affected at all.

It looks very similar to one of my tanks after i siliconed a leak. Shouldnt be a problem i don't think, just keep an eye on the fish to be sure.
