Atm my tiger oscar (ill) has shown no signs of aggresion to other fish and is getting really friendly with me .So yeh it depends on the fish,spose you could observe the one you want to buy in the shop and see what it's behaviours like...

The best way to judge an Oscars pesonality is to watch them at the store. Put your finger up to the top of the tank and watch which ones go all wiggly and ga-ga, these are the spunky ones! If possible see if they can feed them while you're there, you will be able to tell who is outgoing and who likes to mope in the corner.
