What the bleeding hell is this

Just opened the front flap on my juwel 180 to put some cucumber in & saw this, i only open this flap when putting cucumber in or simular usualy feed into the current via the back flap so don't how long it's been there help whatever it is it's above the water line so can't be do with the fish

Just taken it off it's a sort of hard rice cake sort of structure oozing glue any ideas??

u got golden apple snails or anything similar? looks like they're eggs, they come up out of the water to lay them there
