ok, just bought one. bought the tube. already had the pump thingy. Also bought a check valve which i now think looks too complicated but....i cant get the tube onto the air inlet thing on the airstone! am i missing something? i feel so stupid, they are by the same make so i thought it would just slide on!

which pump is it? it will be a very tight squeeze to get the tube onto the air stone as it has to be airtight.

I dunno..... sounds like you have all the parts..... see if your tubing is clogged by something.....

ok, ill keep persevering then thanks. Not sure which pump. its just the same one that was for sale in the shop

try wetting the tubing just a bit, then sticking it on.... might help.

Try holding the end of the airline in some hot water for a while until it softens and expands a bit. Then push it on and it will tighten as the tube cools down.

try slightly nipping the end of the tube it will distort but should just bounce back!

you might try dipping the tube in a cup of hot water, then try to push on the tube!
