Ive just set up my first tank. Its a trigon 190. Ive laid substrate and gravel. Filled it and treated the water allowing for it to cycle for a while without any fish. With the risk of sounding really dumb do i need a seperate air pump or does the air from the internal unit do that job?

Any other advice gratefully received. Also have a fair sized lump of bog wood as my main feature but it began to float. Any idea how to get around this.

Cheers

Robert

just leave the wood in the tank for a day or two and it will sink,

and you don`t NEED an air pump but it will be handy to have one as when the temprature rises in the summer and you struggle to keep tank temps low
water struggles to hold O2 the warmer it gets so you may want t add an air stone whe the tank temp creeps up.

its usefull to have but not essential
