Air Bubbles?

I've just helped my dad sey up his tank and we used argos play sand the same as what I use we washed I thouroghly put it in the tank filled it but there are air pockets or bubbles trapped in the sand is this normal with new sand as I didn't notice it with mine.

By the way we have found a new way to wash the sand. Put it all into an old pillow case and run the water through it and mix it about. There wasn't any cloudiness just settled straight away

Well it's not a problem. Just leave it and they will gradually disappear or stir the sand a bit and that will make them go.

Hi. coinsidentaly, i just filled up my new tank with argos playsand today and there was bubbles in my sand too. I found that if you run a knife or fork through the sand (like mowing a lawn) it will get rid of them. I don't think there bad for the tank, but not very good looking

If you put a few inches of water in the tank before you put the sand in, you don't get air bubbles ;-)

No I didn't think they were bad either they do look poo tho lol
