For some reason, during my exam week at the end of the school year (we have an exam week EVERY year, private school lol) it is always boiling hot, the week just passed was my exam week

Practically perfect in every way
luckily all mine seem to be OK, highest is 28 and thats where I have 2 tanks stacked on top of each other, top one's always going to be hotter and it's stocked accordingly Just upped the aeration in all of them and will keep an eye out but fingers crossed they'll be OK, I do live in 'the frozen wastelands of the north' though so it never gets that hot!

It contributes so much to the fact we are killing this earth. Air con isn't the answer to hot days, it's like driving to the shop when it's only half a mile away to buy some rizla or something. Green house gasses is what I'm talking about. Soon enough we will ALL suffer major temp. fluctuations, keeping fish may not even be an option

lmfao the air conditioners now arent damaging air at all, and even on the large scale air conditioners dont contribute that much to "global warming", and global warming is a natural cycel the earth goes through. thissi going to start a discussion, and people will end up mad. so lets not talk any further about that. also, i think you're a little paranoid and this is so far away from fish......

I usually go on what a few people tell me, and after many various conversations with my girlfriend [who has a degree in ecology] I thought air conditioning units were harmful to the atmosphere. if this isn't true then so be it, but i wouldn't say i was paranoid.
I think the discussion on today's apparent climate change, global warming, green house gasses etc is extremely interesting and shouldn't get up anyone's skirt, only educate people who havn't a clue on better living.
Global warming IS a natural change, although we seem to have speeded the process up a few hundred years. So much so, that when me and my 'soon-2-be-wife' decide to have kids, it won't be the lack of money to support a kid that stops us, it'll be whether or not it is right to bring a child into such a rapidly decreasing human friendly atmosphere on this earth.
We can all do a little bit to help slow the process of global warming and the likes. So why not do it?

lol sory but i ddont think a few hundred will contribute or slow global warming. anyway its inevitable unless some scientists make an anti global warming machine (impossible). ah well its best not to argue. to each his own!
btw .com's can say anything, show me a .gov, .edu, etc and then ill consider. also the air condiioners they make now are less Co2 emitting. once again though, lets stop arguing while we can

If we recycle more, walk/cycle more, stop using so much bloody plastic and in general stop using things like air con, big 4x4 cars, bricks for houses etc then we can actually reduce global warming.. maybe enough for me to have my kid! heh heh.
But seriously, I've always given Americans the benefit of the doubt, but you really need to wake up and start realising that if we don't act soon, it'll be too late. And you can't tell me that's ok, it's all 'natural', because that's b0ll0cks, honestly!
