Aeration On Filter, Broke Already

I've had my tank... 2 months at the most. The filter and everything came with it.
This morning the aeration on my filter (its built in) isnt working... but the filter still does.

1. If i cleaned out the filter properly, could this help? (i usually do it every week with a water change, but the motor is due for a clean)
2. How long can the fish live without the aeration till i get it sorted?
3. Could the aeration pipe have a hole in it?

As long as the filter is still keeping the water surface moving, there should be plenty of oxygen in the water, so no need to worry.

Might be worth checking if it's under guarantee though.
