Advice on molly please

Hi all,
I am very new to fish keeping, little bit of advice on my molly fish, is my fish pregnant? It’s got the typical box shape and has got rather large since I brought it, and like I said I am very new so have no idea, I have attached a picture of it’s not very clear I can try get another Thankyou

We will need a few more pictures, preferably without the blue light

Look at the anal (bottom) fin and see if it is long and thin or fan/ triangle shaped. Fan shaped is female, long and thin is male.

The fish in the picture looks a bit like a male that is fat and a balloon variant. Balloon fish have shorter bodies and their organs are squished up. this can make it difficult for them to eat and breed normally, and many die before they should.

I’ll try and get some more photos but I have a few I have previously taken when it had ick which I can attach hopefully this will help, I hope this helps a little, the fins are clamped as it was poorly when these where taken

I can't tell from the pictures. It's either a male or a female with a clamped anal fin. Monitor it and see what's its anal fin looks like. If it doesn't change then it's a fat male, probably full of worms

The anal fin is long thin and is not one it separates in the middle into 2 long fins, sorry it hard to tell it’s a bit difficult trying to get pictures when the fish doesn’t keep still. Full of worms? Didn’t even realise it was a thing for fish to get worms?
