Adding Sand To An Established Tank?

hiya all, i know i ask loads of questions, but its better to be safe than sorry in my eyes lol.

ok so here goes, i have an established aqauarium, but i need to add some more sand to the substrate, is it ok to do so?

Yup just clean it well,

Then lower a jug full to the base and slowly pour it out.

Shouldnt cause to much mess
