Currently just have a 17watt floreents light on tank
planted with

java fern
java moss
camabna(sp)
anibus
vals

Have ordered another 12 crypts of various types too add

tank is a 38gallon bowfront aprox 30"l x 16w x 20h

going to swapping light now for a 4x24watt florencent fixture
1 bulb 6700k
1 bulb 10000k
2 acintic blue (might swap for 1blue and another 6700k)

so if my math is right works out to be 96w for 38gal or 2.5w/gal

is this the start to a high the tank that might need CO2 additional

currently adding Flourish excel too tank at recremended dosage and have root tabs available to add if need be.

anyone??

Recieved my light fixture yesterday and came with different bulbs than advertised....

1-6700k
1-10000k
1-12000k
1-blue acintic
all 24w

full lights on actually shows off plants/fish colours

still wondering if co2 is needed though

plants are java moss, ferns, anibus, vals, amazon sword, and asst. crypts.
currently dosing with macros and mircos and few tabs by sword and ferns.
also have some liquid carbon if required
water flow is all over tank as an see movement on every plant

so question is ..co2 or not co2?
and should i swap out the 10k/12k bulbs to lower?

You will defo need CO2 and fertilisers, otherwise your plants will be starved.
