How many of you have acrylic tanks? I have a glass one, and I like it, but acrylic is so much cheaper... Is acrylic really bad for a Betta?

Not that I know...

I keep them in whatever. Plastic, acrylic, glass.. I don't think it matters.

Well yeah it scratches a bit but I'm not the type to mind :p

My mom seems to think acrylic get's scratched so much you can't see through it. But I really don't want to pay 60 dollars for a 4 gallon tank..

I like glass the most, but I own ALOT of Acrylic. Acrylic doesn't get scratched up(in my experience) easily, but I prefer the durability of glass.

Lol, yea 60 bucs for a 4 gallon is a bit of a rip off even for glass. I got an acrylic tank a few days ago for my killi's its 5.5 gallons for 10 dollars. Havent had problems with it yet but really havent done anything to it besides add fake plants and stuff.

Here.

But they're selling a 10g. at Petsmart that comes with a lot of stuff and it's only fifty dollars.. but it's acrylic. All I need is a 2.5 gallon for a female.. Which, none the less, they have. I mean, this sounds like a decent deal?

I actually really like those Minibows. I had two, one disappeared :grr: and the other is being used to house my cousins betta at his house. Really nice tanks imo.

OK if you use plastic for bettas you are cleaning them out an average of once a week I just tip the water out and wipe the inside with kitchen roll or old rag you dont have to scrub it ...it wont scratch then! Dont let them get too mucky!

Three cats? I have three cats two.. although one isn't techinically mine, it's my brother's.. but.. I have a kitten, so she inflicts so much damage she counts as two.
