About Ready To Throw In The Towel

...and have you removed any carbon sponge from your filter before dosing?

I've never used the Jungle brand but it's supposed to be fairly good. I used Protozin on the two occasions of having whitespot in my tanks and that got rid of it easily enough.

You can only keep doing what you're doing and you will get rid of it soon enough.

All the best - Athena

Yep, I dechlorinate and I have an emperor HOB filter. I have a large airstone and lowered the waterline for extra aeration.
Also removed the carbon and replaced with regular sponge while treating. I haven't put the carbon back in since I started meds because I'm medicating every 24 hours. All the neons were cleared up but I noticed last night that one had 2 spots on it's fin. I've been dosing meds for a week now. Does it normally take this long?

Unfortunately it can take two sometimes three rounds of medication to completely clear the ich parasite. Keep going with it, sometimes you think it will never go, but it will :)

OK...just wanted to make sure the fishies would be ok with all the meds and high temps. I've got the temp up at 86 and unless you guys think otherwise, I'll leave the temp there. Thanks everyone!

Have you been getting all these fish from the same LFS? Perhaps it's the stock.

Well, I've been getting my fish from 2 different places. One is a petsmart and one is a fish store. I've had problems with guppies no matter where I get them. I'm sure petsmart isn't the best place to go but at least they give you 14 days to make sure your fish live. There are a couple of other places I'm going to try. I guess it's pretty much trial and error. :)

I lost a whole tank almost about a year and a half ago because of some neons I bought at petsmart, make sure you are checking the fish you buy from there for everything!

Well, I'm QT'ing any fish I get now for at least 2 weeks before I put them into my main tank. That's awful that you lost your whole tank!
I wish I could find a local breeder around my area. That would be better than petsmart or the LFS!

Tank update....The ich seems to be gone. I medicated last night and I think I'm going to stop medicating, do a water change and put the carbon back in tonight. All spots are gone and I'm going to keep a very close eye. I lost one neon and my last guppy isn't looking too good. He's not very active and not really eating. But everyone else looks good. So hopefully the worst is over. Thanks everyone!
