A Very Stange Amano Shrimp!

[wackystarfish]

okay, i have three amano shrimps all quite large in my 30 gal tank. It is a juwel with a built in internal sponge filter. Today, i sat what looked like spidery bits of plant grasping out of the grill from the inside. Little did i know this was actually a shrimp! After AAAAAAAAAGES trying to get it out, it must have swam out of its own accord, and was sitting blazay on a bit of bogwood, the only difference, that its legs look elongated! Like they were streched!
So i had to put the filter back on to get rid of all the detritus from taking the sponged out, when, two minutes later, there he is, TRYING to squeese himself back in!
Is this normal behaviour??? lol

My cherries shrimplings used to mature in the filter then swim out when they were big enough!
