Took my son and his little friend to the Amusement park yesterday. Mine loves coasters..his friend....well, let's just say he's a tad of a coaster chicken lol. After he rode this "wimpy" coaster, as my son put it...he wouldn't ride anything else lol.

Check out the kid in the 3rd car (My son is on teh front..in the grey shirt).

It rained for almost an hour...so during that time..the Bumper Cars were quite popular (only covered ride lol)

Wasn't very busy..since School has already started for the Birmingham Schools...but they didn't seem to mind.

looks like they had fun :) i haven't ever been to visionland. gosh kids are back in school already?!?!

Last time I went to Visionland was on Halloween. Looks like the kids had fun - except on the carousel.. I love the fountain there... So that's what it looks like in daylight.

Yeah...B'ham schools are already back ..started back yesterday. Drake's (Blount county) go back tommorrow.

lol They had a blast..they were so tired and cranky by the time they rode that carosel it wasn't even funny lol.

Vision Land is ok....kinda expensive for what you get..but they enjoyed it. I have a feeling it's going to be like Opryland though...I don't see it ever being as big or lasting as long as SixFlags in ATL. They need to add about 4 more coasters and it might pick up business imo. 2 just isn't all that great...although the wait was great...no more then 5 min each lol.

IMO they need to do alot of work in that park. The weeds need to be controlled, the park has a "odor" in places, and the landscaping needs to be kept up better...and my god..none of the employees are from the US..they are all foreign and cannot understand a word you say to them...which was not good when Drake and Dalton got stuck on the log rides for 20 min (and they were pretty high up..shook them up a little bit)..they were kinda scared cas they couldn't get the workers to explain what was going on.

I think next year we will try out the water park side of it though...I'm sure they would have had a better time if we had done both...but it rained...lol so we didn't go on that side.
