A Second Filter

man of Fish. Someone once did mention that they looked like a make in the US, so maybe they run under a different name over there or maybe they were just a copy? Do you have Tetra products?

Minstrel, the 1200 will fit perfectly inside your 200 cabinet. I have the Vicenza 180 and it fits perfectly. :)

Okay... EX1200 it is :D Thanks will get it fixed up asap and just leave all else running as now I have fish in I obviously cannot fart around with it all too much :) Exciting, I just feel it will help the fishies so much!!

Well Minnnt I can say your doing a very good job at changing people, you've changed me for sure!

We have tetra products.

You should be able to email them and ask for advice on how to get one. Don't understand why they wouldn't as it's a pretty big market to be missing out on!

Unfortunately i am not on comission, but maybe i should email them and ask to be put on it... :hey:

Also, once cycled you can get the internal out and get back all that space it is taking up! :)

Would that be okay to take it out? I suppose that the EX1200 is a better filter regardless? How long should I give it to cycle being that I have one already cycled?

*thinks of more questions*

P.S. Definitely as about commission, you have managed to convince me...

Lol.

You could remove the sponges from the Fluval 4 and put them inside the 1200 (towards the bottom). You could then remove the filter straight away. More space the better.

I would be scared to do that incase I well killed the bacteria or something...

You wouldn't do. There is no way you could do.

When you get it remember to open it first and unbag all of the media and rinse the ceramic media and carbon in old tank water as it can be a bit dusty. Cram the sponges from the Fluval in the bottom tray and voila... you are good to go. :D

Minnnt - I was watching this video on youtube about the tetratec ex1200 and how to set it up and it said, when you first get it to wash all the media in tap water, should I do this?
Since I will be using it straight away by adding mature media?

Should I?

I was gonna leave it since im adding new bogwood but is it best to remove it?

Interesting point would it be better to put some treated tap water into a bucket and wash it this way?
