like my next project is gonna be a 75 gallon or a 82 gallon disuss tank.......and im gonna add low lites, like 1.5 wpg , so that means i dont have to plant heavily? or Il still will have to..to prevent an algae outbreak?

The algae trigger comes at around 2WPG so you shouldn`t worry too much about your light levels being the cause. Are you sure of your calculations, because the WPG ratio gets smaller with larger tanks like you are proposing?

ya wats the 1.5 wpg(low lites) for a 75 gallon? 75 wpg is just abt rite?

I would think up to 100w would be ok, discus tend to like more subdued lighting anyway. I would still plant with lots of fast growers though, you cant be to careful!
