A Pair Of Neon Blue Gobies

Could I keep a pair of neon blue gobies in a 180 litre tank, or do they have to be kept singularly?

If so, do they have to be a mated pair before buying?

Its better to buy a mated pair, or at least a pair that seems comfortable with each other at the shop.
