A Little Confused?

Haha. Indeed. If only it were that easy for everyone!

Alot more people would have fish and they would be much healthier :)

Lol...It all seems abit too easy...

Still might bite me in the behind!

If all stays fine over the next 5 or 6 days then I'll add a few more fish...fighter is on the list as is another shoal species...maybe phantom tetras...seem some purple tetras today too hat I liked the look of...

I'm also looking for a bottom feeder still...Mentioned the flying foxes but still not sure they're suitable...Seem some khuli loaches today and liked the look of them too...would they ok in my tank with a few tetras and a fighter?

Purple tetras are hard to come by, I would snatch them up. However, they are likely wild caught so you would want to quarantine them first. I've never kept a flying fox but I've heard that they can be aggressive.

Thats interesting...I don't have anywhere to quarantine them however...

Tested again tonight and still no change...

A Flying Fox is too big for a 60L and if you want something that eats algae (or something that you can see) Kuhli Loaches aren't an option. I would suggest a group of 5 Otocinclus or if you can find them (and your wallet allows it) 5 Zebra Otocinclus. Remeber to supplement their algae diet with a slice of cucumber/zuccini every so often.

Thanks AmazonFTW...I'll have a look at those! :good:

Just tested and I can't quite tell if there's a slight tinge to ammonia test! May do a 20% water change just to be on the safe side!

No harm in being conservative. The water change won't hurt anything, and it will definitely lower the ammonia, even if it is low, it could stand to be lower. :good:

Did a 30% water change last night...Tests all zero tonight! :good:

Going to add 4 phantom tetras or cherry barbs one day next week if all still looks ok!

Can I ask your advice on my final stocking plan? Its a 60 litre tank...

Currently have: 8 Neon Tetras

Looking to add 6-8 Black Phantom Tetras or Cherry Barbs, 1 Male Betta and a small group of Otocinclus (although require some guidance on how many).

Does this sound okay?

Still testing zero! Maybe I have cycled?

Looking to add either 4 Red or black phantoms or Rosy Tetras tomorrow!

Well the Rosy Tetras have been in for 24 hours now...all seem very happy...very active fish and the Males display is non-stop!

All parameters are still fine!...Must be cycled...Happy Days!:)
