Wow really really nice!! First one is so lush!! The HRP tank is pretty spot on for them as well - just like the wild :) Open and barren.

Third tank for the Angels - nice wood but get some Giant Valis and it would look awesome :)

Thanks. I have 5 tanks running atm, the one missing is my nano.

The Angel is in the 4ft atm because he gave the female a bit of a battering so he will be going back into the planted 180 probably on Thursday.

Unsure what to do with the hrp tank, might add a few more small pieces of java fern here and there and then leave it be.

Here is the nano. Inhabitants are currently 4 Cardinal Tetra's. Not ideal but they were enemies of the HRP's when spawning last time so had to move them.

Yeah it's coming along now, going to add a few stem plants next and maybe split the java ferns a bit, maybe half them? Would like some more crypt wendtii brown to enlarge the group of that and tropica at the front. Need a few more pieces of Vallis also after trimming the longest pieces off at the weekend.

Any other advice?

im sure the vallis will send off runners soon enough, mine is going bananas, although i trimmed it all down to half its length last night, was getting brown tips :|

nice bunch of tanks mate :D

:hyper: Love the first tank mate! Didn't think you had a planted tank like that ! Love the moss on the wood, what type of moss is it?

Give me some crypt! :p

Yeah its been like that a few months now. The moss is weeping moss, ferrei (sp?)

Most of the crypts are from ian. Got some more moss coming from scotty for a little project in the nano.

Are those livebearers in your first tank? It's very pretty. I still have a long way to go before I get my tank looking that good. I want to do a planted tank like that in the future, I just worry about the time it would consume to care for it. Is there a big difference in caring for a planted tank v. a tank with fake plants?

Not really buddy, I don't do anything different with the planted tank to what I do with the others.

Scott, they're tropica and wendtii brown. Need a couple more just to add to the size of the group. There is some in my nano that I might move back and add them to the group in the 180.

Any other ideas?

Oh yeah, they are livebearers. They were labelled as strawberries and cream mickey mouse platties. £1.50 each so I got 1 male and 2 females.

Nice selection of tanks. I love to see people have a mixture of stocking and tanks. The Cichlids are great!

BTW you moss is doing better than mine!

I must admit I am extremely pleased with its progression, it has really taken off these last few days. Does it spread or do I need to remove the excess and tie it on further down the wood ian?

Got some xmas moss waiting for me when I get home. What's that like?

it should do what it says on the tin and weep (obviously not cry lol). You then can trim as you want. You can even shape it.

IME Crimbo moss is a lot easier to keep than weeping moss.
