75 Gallon Mbuna Photo Diary, Now W/pics Of The Fish.

Ginge, no plans to raise fry at this point. They're too hard to sell locally as I seem to be the only cichlid keeper in Kansas, LOL. And I'm still uncomfortable with shipping, but who knows, that could always change.

"3 pim pictus (can't get any synos locally, so I thought I give these a try, have heard of the people being successful)"
i have two pictus in my tank and find them no trouble and great fun too watch. never had any real problems with them although they can scare timid fish when they feed as they are very hetic. also dont keep any fish that are smaller than their mouths as THESE WILL DISAPEAR!!
NATH1 :D

The tank is finally cycled!!!!! :shout: I'll be ordering the fish this week. Oh, I can't wait.

I got the rest of the rocks in and added a dark blue background. Not sure if I'll keep it blue or change to black, we'll see once I add the fish.

Ignore the vertical line on the right hand side, it's a reflection of my vertical blinds. Enjoy!

Hmmm, I don't like the rocks, I prefer the other roundish holey ones, but I'm sure your tank will look good :good:

Not to be rude, but if you don't like it, why did you reply?

i think the tank looks great :)

i prefer the flat rock piled look

i have an oscar so there is not point in me ever doing that :D but my gf has mbuna's and her tank has white flat rocks and looks kind of like yours *its a 125g though*

:) cant wait to see your fish

Well, I decided the rocks were too symmetrical, so I redid it. I think it looks much better, still like a wall, but more like one that is old and falling down.

Thank you very much Ginge. I can't wait to get fish in it, seems like I've been staring at an empty tank forever.

I must admit, I didn't like your rocks at first, but now I like the way you have arranged them, because at first they were all the same way pretty much, but now it looks a bit more natural. Good job!

I agree, the randomness of the rocks is much more pleasing than the brick wall look as before.
May i suggest a couple of Java ferns to add to the effect and to also hide the heater in the background. :)
