6500k or 18000k

With those 2 options, I would go with Aquaglo. Sunglo doesn't stimulate both photosystems of the chlorophyll cell. Aquaglo only stimulates mainly one, the P700, but it's intensity isn't as strong as the powerglo. So essentially, you should get the powerglo, or ultimately the lifeglo. HTH

i have two tubes at the mo a power glo and sun glo i was thinking of changing the sun glo or would it be best to stay as it is

I'm not familiar with the 'sun glo' bit, but I would personally use the 6500k over the 18000k.

For absorption by Chlorophyll, i.e. to feed plants, you need full spectrum light. The 6500K will do that, the 18000K has far to much of it's output above the frequency range that Chlorophyll can use, as such, it is simply wasted. Lamps that "hot" are best suited to reef tanks where the blue end heavy spectrum best suits the depths at which marine algae and corals live.
