60 L Tank New Addition?

i have 7 harlequins in it at the moment was thinkin of adding another few fish,

i was thinkin either a shoal of zebra danios or some pygmy corries

does anyone have any other suggestions on possible addittions to my tank

i think pygmy cory's would be ok, maybe 6.

also what about a center peice fish?

Their is room for a Honey Gourami or Dwarf Gourami.

would the gouramis be ok on their own or need company


was thinkin maybe livebearers, plays or mollys, guppys, something with bright colours any suggestions,

had a look around lfs and couldnt find any pygmy corries

My tank is also 60L(tho I haven't got it set up yet let alone started my fishless cycle) and from what I've been advised you can have quite a few more fish than that. Have you thought about Platties?

i was informed one inch of fish per gallon, 60L = 15g. if i say my harlequins are an inch thats seven gone with 8 to go. if i get 2 dwarf gouramis they about 2 inches each, so four left after that not much more room for anything

some one can correct me if im wrong though.

have thought about platys they do have lovely colours

was also thinkin of african dwarf frogs but they prolly wont be added till after the summer at least, so possibly one more addition before the summer, if i get the 2 dwarf gouramis and say three platys, mollies or guppies, wud this be ok stocking fo rmy tank,

The inch per gallon rule doesn't really apply, you have to look at the bioload of the fish. Harlequins have a low bioload, so within reason you can get more in the tank without it effecting your filters footprint to much. Two honeys could go in a 60 ltr, you could also put the frogs in rather that havin corys.

2 honey gourami
3 platys
and the frogs would be ok ???

i have been told that when the gourami's mite breed they will get very aggressive towards the harlequins is this true

Sorry I didn't read you wanted platys, yeah ditch the honey idea and go for four platys and the frogs, I don't know much bout frogs, bit I think you'll get away with 3 in your tank. They will scavage on the bottom
