It's called "trust the process". It's difficult in the beginning, but well worth it. I set up this tank on 1/14/23, so it's been up for just over a month. I love the growth I've seen and I'm hoping to add some neocaridina "blue dream" soon. I haven't had any algae at all which is unusual since I've never had a clean tank before, but the cycle is perfect and everything is happy. I've only done one water change so far when the nitrates got to 20ppm. I've really been enjoying watching the plants grow.

Initial set up in preparation for plants:

Plants and wood have arrived:

Hated the way the tank looked and some plants were melting so I rearranged everything:

Cycle was finally done at this point:

Hornwort is taking over:

Noticeable growth from java moss, amazon sword, ludwigia, and hornwort (taken today):

I love the natural look of your nano tank and think your shrimp will love it in there. Show us your shrimp when you get them.

Very nice tank . The sticker on the back of the phone is intriguing, chicken? dinosaur?
