what get too big, what are the dimensions

Would be fine as long as NO Tetras or similar sized fish went in!

You certainly could keep some M. praecox. They are a beautiful fish in looks and action.

Rainbows need to be at least 5 in number if all males. I wouldn't advise mixing the sexes with less than 6 individuals.

You could do 6 Praecox, 2 Firemouth, 6 cories and a rubberlip pleco pretty easily.

Firemouths get to be 5 to 6 inches IIRC and they have a large mouth. Any of the tetras that are smaller than 2 inches would be in danger.
