Probably around $80. Again, April can help you better then I can. :good:

yeh she replied and shes got some really nice strains.
i've got e-mailed her back about shipping so i guess i have to wait.
Do you guys get alot of her discus at your shop?

No we don't carry any of her Discus, no shops in Calgary do. Only half decent store is Golds for Discus, and it's still very hit or miss. You won't be sorry with April though.

No wait for April. She is a pretty busy person, you can always re-email her. Petland will not be getting any A grade Discus, and even if they did I would not touch them with a ten foot pole.

ok thanks.

i dont want to be wasting my money on low quality fish.
i will e-mail april back again .

hmm ic. ok sounds good

i dont know if ill need april for discus. i found this guy that breeds grade A discus in medicine hat . hes got some nice discus and some wayne ng discus too.like reflection-D. So im going to check him out and his discus are a good price to really cheap. anyway. thats about it.
anyway i was wondering if i could keep my discus in my 30g with my 1 sev that im getting rid of. and my african cichlid and my jellybean parrots?like just until i get my new tank. or is not a good idea?

Definitley not with Africans or parrots lol.
ok well would it be ok to have a divider in the middle of the tank?
and i just went to go check out tanks and they have a 90g for 180$ but with no stuff but i think thats a pretty good deal.

That would leave you with 15 gallons. I don't know if I would keep them in there for very long, and it would depend on how many you have. I would think it's best to get your 50g and get your Discus once you set it up.

+one for getting the tank set up and cycled BEFORE getting the Discus. These fish will do much better in established, cycled tank.
I would want to know what the water parameters that fish I bought were raised or kept in.
I would also want to know what foods they are eating so that I could purchase these foods.
I would see to it that I had materials for water storage, or water changes, such as Python or pump attached to garden hose to make water changes that will be needed frequently ,,as easy as possible.
I would not attempt to crowd these fish into another tank housing fish that may or may not tolerate the temperatures needed to properly care for Discus.
Would read all i could find on the care of Discus BEFORE I purchased them.
To do otherwise in my view,is a recipe for failure with these beautiful fish

Yes I would stay the tank BB. pool filter sand should be fine, I would just double check that it doesn't buffer your water.

I would keep it BB until they reach the 12 month mark, so most likely 8-10 months.
