I bought 2 male guppy's and 1 platy for £1.50 combined

in quaranteen now but i needed another tank so make that 6 tanks now (the tank wasn't 50p so all in all 3 expensive fish)

yep, but i have never had any luck with guppy's my reckord is 4 days till they die and they always seem to be fine 1 night at dead by morning.

but they made it through last night

theres got to be an underlying reason that guppies will not last more than 4 days in your tank

yeh prob just simply due 2 been well and truley over bred and they arent good quality when brought ..... if other fish are fine no reason 2 think anythink other than that tbh

well theese 2 were home bred in I think a survival of the fittest tank so we shall see if they live through quaranteen and make it into my tank

even if guppies are very weak etc, there are more sensitive species out their that do well, there must be something else, ie bullying, excess ammonia nitrite etc

been weak due 2 been over bred and been sensitive are completely different things ..... 1 just requires good or perfect water conditions the other is simple due 2 lack of imune systme full stop so no matter wot tank conditions are if they are over bred and weak then they will die no matter wot

Truck i always quaranteen in a fully cycled tank that has very good water parameters they are always on there own therefore or in with a platy (nearly a fry in size)
