*snigger* no. Width is just as important. They need to be able to turn around lol.

Missus and Kid should just about cover it... May have to add a tenner or so though.

Sell one of the dogs too, then you'll be sorted

mines 60x30x24 and the extra depth to the tank makes a world of difference and allows the fish to be able to turn and move etc that they don;t look as comfortable doing in a thinner tank I;d say go for the depth

Thanks Simon, I think that a 6x2x2 may have to be one of choice then. Maybe both dogs and the Hamster will have to go too.

Recent experiences with second hand tanks tells me to buy new... And probably build a stand and hood as the cabinets seriously bump up the price from ND.

Although if i could flog enough stuff to raise £500 i may go for the budget range cabinet too. Surely 496 litres should be enough.

Any good with a wood saw? Partition wall timber, a sheet of ply and some pine cladding = £100 stand. Just depends how good you are at DIY and if you care about a slightly scruffy finish.

Cabinets are easy to build of blag a friend or neighbour to build! That will take at least a third off the price!

I dont know how ND compares really, worth getting a quote from your local MA for a custom build glass tank?
