5 Gallon Tank Cycle

Update: doing water changes about every other day due to ammonia readings of about 0.25.

However, the water seems pretty cloudy now. I am vacuuming the gravel with my water changes. I thought it was growth on the acrylic, but it seems to be the water itself.

This tank has 3 male guppies in it at this point.

pH is 7.4
Ammonia ranges from 0.00 to 0.25
Nitrites are 0.00

I haven't tested nitrates in a while, but will do so this evening. :good:

Readings tonight:

Ph 7.4
Ammonia 0.00
Nitrite 0.00
Nitrate 5.00

Any idea why the cloudy water?

Thanks!

Ok to put one snail in this tank? If so, what kind so we don't get a bunch? There are three male guppies in this tank.

Anything else I need to know to maintain the snail or care for it? Is the salt I put in the tank for the guppies ok for the snail?
