5.5 Litre Tank?

its going with The tank  Sorry.

If i had any other Heater Then i would sell it to you straight off. :good: and why not Curiosty? Oxfords the best Uni around.. :p

Southampton? Pretty far xD

Lmao.

This ones 50w-75w? Something like that. :good:

Im off Mate.

Gotta go to nanes.

Oxford may be a 'good' uni. But they also are very controlling, much like school. If you miss so much as one lecture then you will be chased and thrown out if you carry on. You're not allowed a part time term time job. You HAVE to attend to uni's planned formals otherwise you get into trouble.
And I know people who failed their first year and weren't given a chance to re-sit. They were just told not to come back...

My head of 6th form wanted me to apply to oxford and cambridge, i politely declined and went to Cardiff instead lol. Oxford may be prestigious but i went to the best school of pharmacy in the UK

It's all well and good going to oxford but if they aren't good for the degree you want then it's not really worth it. My friend did genetics too lol

So anyhoo, the 5.5l is only just 1.5 US Gal...way way too small in my opinion.
With the additional filtration volume it should probably work as a stable system. But I just can't see how it's dimensions could physically be large enough to give the fish a 'fair' and happy life.

*Agree*
I will just echo what ^ said. Even if you did add more 'filter capacity' i dont see how the betta would swim in 5.5L.

Nothing wrong with dimensions like this and above
Length ~ 10
Width ~ 5
Hieght ~ 5
I don't think it has anything to do with gallons at all its more on the size of the dimensions even dimensions like this would be suitable

Length ~ 12
Width ~ 5
Hieght ~ 4

as these are about the length and width as bettas don't like hieght this would be something ideal and only 1 gallon aquariums

yeah i would agree also but when u have the tank in front of you you just wanna put something in it! lol dunno how they get away with selling such a small tank! i mean what is it designed for?! read the info sheet on one of their fish bowls that was maybe 10L and it said sutable for aprox 5small fishes and isn't even sold with a filter or heater! do you think some shrimp would be ok in it? quite tempted with thewhole upsidedown tank idea in my link as its something different, I would make sure there is room in the bottom if suction is lost and water gets dumped in the bottom tank though :good: or something comlpetly different maybe? some ideas on what to do with it would be awesome :good:

1g really isnt big enough 3g would be the smallest i would put one in. in a 1g its bearly going to be able to move and good luck keeping good water with no ammonia and nitrates in a 1g tank plus by the time you add plants/ornaments to the tank it will be alot less than 1g.

thankyou we have established that thanks for the conformation to what others have said :good:

so, what should I do with it?

can you breed brine shrimp? then I can feed some to my fish every so often lol I dunno im just spit ballin lol seems a waste, dunno how they get away selling that size tank then i guess peoples ignorance, check the link to the tank I saw in the shop think he wondered why they all died in a week lol
