4Ft Tank With Jewels - What Else Is Ok ?

After moving my community fish from the 4ft to the 3ft i found myself back to looking at cichlids again, So lfs i went to see what they had which wasn't a great deal but blood red jewels really caught my eye. So i bought 4 1 is a gorg bright red & the other 3 are more a deeper purple colour with blue spots. They all seem fine so far, no chasing or anything

How many as a minimum should be ok?
What else are they ok with?


Any ideas please?

Any fish at all, I was told they were african then told american so i'm confused now. So thought i would just see in general what fish they would go with

hey ye they are african but can be kept with american, ive got one with convicts at the moment and they get on fine however they are still young so this might change but they grow to about the same size. could also try posting in the other section for african to get some more ideas
