48 Ltr, What To Do?

So as you can see in my sig my 48 litre is currently a fry tank, i think i'll call it 50 litre for simplicitys sake as i dont think i measured it right. I will Check.

There will come a time hopefully when my fry are sold off and the tank is freed up, but what do you think i should do with it as i have no idea whatsoever!

I will give you a list of the equipment that i have for it.

A tank
A hood
A light (14 watt T8 flourescent)
Maybe the smaller filter from my community tank

So the rest i am looking foer ideas for! I think i will make it my TFF tank TBH.

The Questions.

What filter should i use for the tank (internal please!)

What substrate should i use.

Aeration? I have a 75l/h Interpet AV mini but 'm not sure thats enough, maybe for a fry
tank but not a tank with big fishies in it.

And lastly, the stocking! What Stocking would you reccomend me to have for this tank once it is finished?

Please let me know your suggestions for my TFF tank

A tank that size could be a quarantine tank or a hospital tank if you don't have those I think thats what the tank should be a quarantine tank or a hospital tank and if you have those it's could be a community tank

Personally, a small planted tank would be my choice.

Substrate, planted substrate or sand with root tabs

Internal filter, the fluvals are really good, or I would always be tempted to create my own filter (back section) as it would all be hidden

i have a hospital tank in the loft, with gravel, hood blah de blah in it. Just add water really! The filter for it is in my community tank as a backup if the main one dies.

Personally, a small planted tank would be my choice.

Substrate, planted substrate or sand with root tabs

What do you mean by root tab? and also wont a betta outgrow a 50 litre?

A 50 liter is perfect for a Betta I have a 10 gallon it is gonna be 6 neons 1 Betta and 5 ghost shrimp

would neon tetras be too big for this tank? if so what are some smaller alternatives?

So you have a 13 gallon tank if it were me I would have 4 endlers 6 neons 1 Betta and some shrimp and I would also have a coconut cave live plants and a piece of driftwood

maybe not the coconut, can do driftwood though. Dont know whereabouts i might find endlers though. will look in wildwoods next time i go there. Just nothing with too long fins and too shimmery in with the betta lol!

what could i have instead of the endlers if i cant get them and what substrate is best for a planted tank?

I don't know to much about live plants so I can't help with the substrate sorry

Instead of endlers you could have more neons or if you can you could make the tank a female Betta sorority instead of neons

i think i might be able to get endlers where i am thinking of. either that or 6 dwarf corydoras

You could have a couple of female bettas together maybe 4 females

Yeah that's what it is but you have to put them in at the same time and have lots of hiding spots
