I've spent about $10 a month on this tank over the past year. I have acquired/bought fish randomly over the same amount of time. I was into salt water tanks about 3 years ago and found it to be too costly.
I think the tank looks good. Using cement rocks isn't recommended but I know they sat outdoors for more than two years so they shouldn't effect the PH. All fake plants (I go for quantity over quality), I think they look alright.
My thoughts on the fish I have:
I personally don't think the silver dollar nor the bala fit in quite well but would be interested in hearing what your opnions would be. The bala had outgrown a co-workers tank so he gave him to me and is doing well.
I feel I am done adding to the tank. I feel satisfied with the way it looks. I think the rock work is plenty, any more rocks or plants would take up too much space in my opinion, but I am certainly open to suggestions.
